Originally from the North of England (and a lifelong fan, and former shareholder of one of the game's fallen giants), Andy played schoolboy and club football (as well as other sports) to District and County level - playing in the same teams as players who represented England at schoolboy level and who joined various London clubs (and through them, seeing issues faced by professional footballers at first hand).
Andy pursued his academic and legal studies, qualifying and working as a London 'City' solicitor for many years, before his entrepreneurial side took over and he moved into the business of recruiting lawyers for City and US law firms. Having worked for various market leaders (including James Caan of 'Dragons Den' fame), Andy set up Caulfield Search - Specialist Legal Headhunters (in 2003) - through which he has entertained his top lawyer clients at leading London football (and other sports) grounds over many years and therefore been privileged to watch many of the top international stars in action close up
His 4 sons naturally keep him very busy away from work, and through their boys' football appearances over the past decade, he has been closely involved as a parent, coach and referee at first hand again with 'grass roots' football, and latterly Club Academies/Centres of Excellence, scouting, football trials etc.
